Partners, 2009

My life has had a series of links to the performing arts. Those links began with studying contemporary dance with Martha Graham at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. My photographic beginnings often projected specializing as a stage photographer but I opted for informally photographing more intimite proximity to performers. "Partners", 2009 was one of those moments and was performed by the José Limón Dance Company in New York City. The three things I shared with José Limón were: a childhood in Mexico, art studies in New York and a passion for modern dance.
